October 11, 2012: LPA/LCA Meeting in Baton Rouge

The October 11, LPA/LCA meeting will be held at the Baton Rouge Welcome Center. We look forward to a great beginning to the 2012-13 year for creating and advancing the arts.

The Affinity groups that were begun last year were very successful and will be an even stronger focus this year. Lunch will be ordered, and you will be able to purchase your lunch at the meeting. The schedule is as follows:

9:30am – 10:00am — Coffee and networking
10:00am – 10:30am — Louisiana Citizens for the Arts general meeting
10:30am – 11:45am — Louisiana Partnership for the Arts general meeting
Noon — Grab lunch for Affinity sessions (open to anyone)

LPA Affinity Session #1: 12:00pm – 1:15pm

Arts Education/Arts in Education: Continue the dialogue begun last year

Presenting Organizations: Does your organization ever hire or contract performers? You’re a presenter! Network with other presenters and artists, and share what it takes to present and be presented.

Public Art: Public Art is sometimes the public’s only connecting to a piece of art. Take part in learning and sharing in the Public Art process.
