LOUISIANA PARTNERSHIP
for the ARTS
& CITIZENS TOO….
What would you say if you could stay
At home…and miss the December 17 meetings of LPA and LCA?
Could you make Hay? Would you go to the Ballet?
Would you break away…get away…go astray and take the day to play?
Or, will you say, “no way! I’ll not delay!
Instead… I’ll work (like a jerk) and keep the deadlines and pressures at bay!”
Surely you would rejoice with a big giant, “YEA!!”
But…what would you pay??
The Boards of the Louisiana Partnership for the Arts and the Louisiana Citizens for the Arts are canceling the December meetings in recognition of the fact that this is the busiest time of the year for Arts Leaders. The requested RSVP response for December demonstrates the conflicting emotions surrounding the desire to hear and see all the good stuff and good friends…and the “how can I possibly arrange my schedule to attend?” trauma!
Therefore, we offer a trade: You can reclaim your Tuesday, December 17 (and for some of you…Monday, December 16–travel day) with a clear conscience in RETURN for your LCA DUES/Contribution! The LCA Holiday Wish is to raise the 2014 Advocacy Funds BEFORE the end of 2013! Please …take 10 minutes this very minute and procure 3 checks:
A. Your personal contribution!
B. Your organizational dues…if you don’t have an invoice (we sent them in September), simply respond to this email — do not reply to all, just hit reply…we will be glad to customize an invoice for your organization!
C. Your Chairman and/or President’s contribution! Yes, the plan is that all Executive Level Leaders will join LCA as contributing Advocates!
Please send your check to Louisiana Citizens for the Arts
West Monroe City Hall, 2305 North 7th Street, West Monroe, LA 71291 (or go online to www.lparts.org)
Now…just before you begin the freedom dance…MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Thursday, February 6 for the NEXT LPA meeting! Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne will host a BREAKFAST for your Chairman/President to share the latest goals in Louisiana Arts Development…and Kevin Hayes will teach “Advocacy Tricks of the Trade” that are so crucial in this upcoming Election Year! Then, with full bellies, we will pursue the Agenda Topics you’ll LOVE…the “December” agenda centering on EARNED INCOME.
PAY your way to F R E E D O M … then…go and play!
Thank you!
Happy Holidays!
