- 10:30 am – Louisiana Partnership for the Arts Meeting begins!
- LPA Convening Begins as “Bylaw Amendment.”
- The Board of Directors of the LPA moves that the following amendment to the bylaws be approved to create the office of Chairman-Elect.
The Chairman-Elect shall serve as Vice-Chairman of theLPA and shall succeed the Chairman of the Board when his/her term expires. The Chairman-Elect shall assist the Chairman of the Board with planning and administrative duties and, in his/her absence, shall preside over meetings of the Board of Directors and convenings of LPA. Should the Chairman of the Board be unable to complete his/her term, the Chairman-Elect shall succeed to the office.
RATIONALE for motion: Because the LPA’s bylaws do not provide for a succession, the creation of this office will correct this oversight and provide for smooth transitions.
- The Board of Directors of the LPA moves that the following amendment to the bylaws be approved to create the office of Chairman-Elect.
